A. Verona Bollen, nee Cornstuble, 91 of West Bend, went home to the Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at her residence.
She was born on April 29, 1913 in Sims, Illinois to the late Alfred and Tamma Mae (nee Miller) Cornstuble. She was united in marriage to Andrew P. Bollen, Jr. on Nov. 10, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. Her husband preceded her in death on April 19, 1988.
She is survived by two children, Andrew (Adeline "Bitsie") Bollen III of West Bend, and Karen (Raymond) Downs of Tillamook, Oregon; five grandchildren, Andrew "Pat" (Pamela) Bollen IV, Christine (Scott) Durian, Gretchen Gutknecht, Heather Downs and John Downs; eight great grandchildren, Elizabeth Bollen, Andrew Bollen, Samuel Bollen, Hunter Durian, Abbigayle Gutknecht, Peter Durian, Lydia Bollen and Grace Viesselmann; a sister, Doris White of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Catherine Krekeler of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Anna Ruby Cornstuble, Crystal Wells and infant twins; and three brothers-in-law, Paul White, Frank Krekeler and Homer Wells.
Funeral services in West Bend will be held on Tuesday, February 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home with Rev. George Mumm of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.
Funeral services will also be held in Creve Coeur, Missouri, on Friday, Feb. 11 at St. Paul's Evangelical Church and burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.
