Addlyn E. "Addie" Strodthoff, (nee Kimball), age 95, of West Bend, passed away Friday October 5, 2007 at Kathy Hospice.
She was born on June 4, 1912 in Lake Geneva to the late Henry and Frieda (nee Pfaff) Kimball. Addie was united in marriage to Ralph Bowen in Lake Geneva on June 22, 1935. Together they moved to Racine and Addie worked in a bank until retiring in 1960. After Ralph retired they moved to Tucson, AZ. Ralph preceded her in death in 1973. In 1974 Addie was united in marriage to George Strodthoff in Tucson, AZ. They moved to West Bend shortly after and spent several years together unit George preceded her in death in 1977.
Addie volunteered for many organizations and groups. She was a member of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, and the West Bend Art Gallery. She enjoyed traveling all over the United States and to many countries around the world.
She is survived by a brother, Louis (Lillian) Kimball of Lake Geneva; special friends, Jim and Jeri Bowerman of West Bend; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Susan Ayers; three sisters, Theodora, Helen, and Marion, who died in infancy.
Memorial services to remember Addie will be held on Wednesday October 10th at 1:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. Deborah Thompson of Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Memorials to Kathy Hospice are appreciated.
