Adeline Wandrey

December 16, 1911 — February 6, 2011

Adeline K. "Addy" Wandrey, nee Kroll, age 99, of Slinger, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at the Serenity Villa in Slinger.

She was born on December 16, 1911 in Breed, WI to Fred and Martha (nee Teske) Kroll. On June 8, 1935, Adeline was united in marriage to Wallace E. Wandrey in Milwaukee. Wallace preceded her in death on June 18, 1998.

Adeline worked as a secretary for Schuster's Department Stores in Milwaukee. She spent her summers on Big Cedar Lake until moving there in 1978. Adeline was a Brownie Troop Leader. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hartford. Adeline was also a member of the Scenite Wives, Cedar Lake Yacht Club, and Hartford Country Club. She enjoyed playing golf, bingo and bridge, going on bank outings, and spending winters in Florida and later, Arizona.

Adeline is survived by her daughter, Kay (Ken) Voll of West Bend; four grandchildren, Kristin (Jalal) Voll-Laound of Phoenix, AZ, Karin (John) Barclay of Boulder, CO, Kent (Sarah) Voll of West Bend and Kelly Voll of Clarendon Hills, IL; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Abigail Voll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wallace; sister, Gertrude Beck; two brothers, Louis and Carl Kroll; and other relatives.

A funeral service in remembrance of Adeline will be held on Saturday February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service with a reception to follow. Entombment will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.

Memorials in Adeline's name to First United Methodist Church (738 W. Monroe Hartford, WI 53027), Cedar Community (5595 Cty. Road Z West Bend, WI 53095) or Serenity Villa (1650 American Eagle Drive Slinger, WI 53086) are appreciated by the family.

The family will be forever grateful to the caregivers at Cedar Community and Serenity Villa for their loving care of Addy as well as her many friends and neighbors who gave so much love and support over the years. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
