Adeline K. Weis

Adeline (nee Volm) Weis, 81, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.


Adeline was born on June 7, 1928, in Kewaskum, the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Kohler) Volm. She attended Holy Trinity Grade School and worked at Enger Kress and the West Bend Company for many years.


Adeline met the love of her life, Richard Weis, and was married to him on June 4, 1947, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.


She enjoyed gardening, going up North and the occasional casino trip, but most of all Adeline loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with love, cookies and ice cream.


Adeline was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and belonged to the Christian Women’s group.


Survivors include her husband, Richard of West Bend; three granddaughters, Laura (Kevin) Stautz of Kewaskum, Jenny (Brad) Zuba and Angie Gorman both of West Bend; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Daugherty, Alexia Stautz and Nicholas Stautz all of Kewaskum and Michael Zuba of West Bend; six brothers and sisters, Ruth Arbogash of West Bend, Merlin (Carol) Volm of Kewaskum, Eileen (Reggie) Pierret of Elcho, Linda (Bernie) Kaehne of Kewaskum, Robert (Joanne) Volm of Upland, California and William (Peggy) Volm, Jr. of Shawano; two sisters-in-law, Odelia Peters of West Bend and Dorie Weis of Richfield, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In addition to her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Frank and Emma Weis; her beloved daughter, Joyce Gorman and her grandson-in-law, Shane Daugherty.


Visitation for Adeline was held on Saturday, November 28, 2009, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jeffrey Haines officiating. Burial followed Mass in Holy Angels Catholic Cemetery in West Bend.
