Agnes J. Clarke, (nee Sorensen) age 96, of West Bend, formerly of Palatine, IL passed away Sunday September 28, 2014 at Kathy Hospice in the Town of Polk.
She was born on August 9, 1918 in Chicago, IL to the late Peter and Mary (nee Kordak) Sorensen and was united in marriage to Edward Clarke in 1940 in Chicago, IL Together they resided in Palatine, IL. Agnes moved to West Bend, in 2012 to be closer to her daughter.
Agnes is survived by two children, Ann (Jim) White of West Bend, and John (Eve) Clarke of Palatine, IL; six grandchildren, Brenda (Robert Dafnis) White, Nancy (Josh) Hall, Tracey (Aaron) Clarke-Smith, Samantha Clarke, Shawn Clarke, and Rebecca Clarke; two great-grandchildren, Frederick Hall, and Heather Smith; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward in 1994; son, Lawrence Clarke; and a brother, Joseph Sorensen. A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Agnes will be held on Thursday October 2nd at 11:00 am at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Parish (1201 E. Anderson Dr. Palatine, IL 60074). Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Schaumburg, IL. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of Mass... Memorials to the charity of your choice are appreciated.
