Agnes A Untiet

Agnes A. Untiet (nee Schmitz), age 93 years, of West Bend, formerly of Wausau, was called home to be with the Lord on April 25, 2024, at The Waterford in West Bend.

Agnes was born on January 10, 1931, in Stratford to John and Magdelena Schmitz (nee Becher).  She was united in marriage to Donald Untiet, Sr. on February 4, 1956.

Agnes graduated from Stratford High School.  She worked for Employer’s Mutual Insurance of Wausau for several years in the Payroll Department.  Agnes volunteered at the local schools and  the library.  She enjoyed needlework, bowling, ballroom dancing with Donald Sr., listening to music, and keeping up on current affairs. Agnes especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a longtime member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wausau.

Those Agnes leaves behind to cherish her memory include her children, Don (Marna) Untiet, Jr and Diane (Scott) Jacobson; five grandchildren, Laura, Sara, Andrew, Elizabeth, and Nicholas; and great-granddaughter, Sierra.   She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sr; granddaughter, Emily Jacobson; seven siblings, John, Edward (Lorraine), Joseph, Anna (Alvin), Barbara (Albert), Bertha, and Theresa, and sister-in-law, Elaine (Charles) Monroe

SERVICE:  A private family service will be held at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at The Waterford and Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion.
