Alfred W. Denetz, age 82, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at The Kathy Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 26, 1927 in Irma to the late Alfred O. and Amanda (nee Magnuson) Denetz. On June 30, 1956, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Abraham at Augustana Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Alfred served his country honorably during the Korean War. Upon discharge from the U.S. Army, he began working as a chrome plater at the John Oster Corp. He went on to work for Milwaukee Electric tool in the maintenance department until his retirement at the age of 70.
Alfred was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1393, as well as a member of the Moose Lodge in West Bend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his bowling league, baseball league and snowmobile club.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Lyn Marie (Glen) Albers of West Bend; sister, Doris Horn of New York; sisters-in-law; cousins; nieces; nephews; and many wonderful friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Alan Denetz and sisters, Linnea Fredricksen and Emily Pennow.
Funeral services in remembrance of Alfred will be held on Sunday, February 14th at 4:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Avenue, West Bend. Rev. David Schoob will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the time of the services.
Memorials to The Kathy Hospice or Trinity Lutheran Church are appreciated by the family.
