Alice J. McCoy, nee Thompson, age 88, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2012 at the Samaritan Health Center.
Alice was born on July 1, 1923 in Williamson, WV to the Late Hugh and Bessie (nee Mull Willard) Thompson.
Alice moved to West Bend in 2000 to be closer to her daughter. She was a member of the Salvation Army. Alice enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce (Joseph) Bazan of West Bend; grandchildren, Chris (Candy) Marcum, Jeff (Carrie) Marcum, Joseph Bazan, Julianna (Tim Steffan) Bazan, Angela and Perry West; great-grandchildren, Shane Marcum, Alexis Marcum, Alyson Marcum, and Maleah Steffan; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, Myra Imel; granddaughter, Joanna Bazan; three sisters, Mildred Calhoun, Ethel Smith, and Margie Myanard; and one brother, Harold Thompson.
In honor of Alice's wishes, there will be no public funeral service. Cremation took place at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral and Cremation Service and inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Williamson, WV.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Froedtert Hospital, along with Dr. Gajic and the staff of the Samaritan Health Center.
