Alice J. Polachowski

Alice J. Polachowski, nee Misiewicz, 91, of St. Francis, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center, West Bend.

She was born September 9, 1918 in Milwaukee to the late Martin and Mary (nee Rolinski) Misiewicz. Alice graduated from St. Pulaski High School in Milwaukee. She was united in marriage to Erwin Polachowski on September 23, 1939 at St. Gerarde Church in Milwaukee. Erwin passed away on December 1, 2004.

Alice was employed as an Executive Secretary at Vilter Manufacturing for over 30 years. She was an active member of Nativity of the Lord Parish for many years and she also enjoyed golfing.

She is survived by her son, Allen (Lynda) Polachowski of West Bend, a granddaughter, Stacy (Patrick) Oblen of Chicago, two great-grandchildren, Sydney Oblen and Luke Oblen, "Rudy the great-grand dog," other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three brothers, Emil (Pat) Misiewicz, Walter (Theresa) Walters, and Lewis (Lucille) Misiewicz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church, 3672 E. Plankinton Ave., Cudahy. Burial will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery in Union Grove. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
