Alice L. Rauch, nee Knapp, 89, of West Bend, was born to eternal life on Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend.
She was born on August 26, 1918 in Milwaukee to the late Edward and Catherine (nee Biever) Knapp. Alice married Victor Rauch on October 8, 1938 in Milwaukee. Victor passed away on February 5, 1992 and Alice moved from Milwaukee to West Bend in 1993.
Alice was a member of Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church, the Moose Club, and the West Bend Senior Center, where she was a member of the choir and band. She volunteered as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army and delivered Meals-on-wheels. She also worked for a time at McDonald's while in her 70's.
She is survived by four children, Ronald (Doris) Rauch of Waupaca, Joyce (Dennis) Bush of Stevens Point, Alan (Barbara) Rauch of Newport News, Virginia, and Gary (Janet) Rauch of Oconomowoc; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, a son, Dennis Rauch, and two sisters, Janet Knapp and Cecelia Stoll..
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3 at 5:30 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Rev. Janis Best of Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church will officiate and Alice will be laid to rest in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
