Allen D. “Al” Schickert, 57, of Kewaskum, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
He was born on December 22, 1955, in Hartford, the son of Mathias and Catherine (Schmidt) Schickert, and on May 15, 1976, he was united in marriage to Cynthia Klein at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Al was a 1974 graduate of Kewaskum High School and was employed in varying capacities by Kewaskum Frozen Foods Inc. in Kewaskum for over 40 years. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum, and enjoyed camping and spending time with his grandchildren. Al will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.
Those Al leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Cindy; his son, Michael of Kewaskum; his grandchildren, Joseph and Danica; his mother, Catherine Schickert of Kewaskum; three brothers, Tom (Angela) Schickert, Randy (Diane) Schickert and Eugene (Linda) Schickert all of Kewaskum; two sisters, Lucy (Harvey) Braford of Brownsville and LuAnn (Don) Schrauth of Campbellsport; his parents-in-law, Harvey and Millie Klein of the town of Wayne; his brother-in-law, Jim (Jeri) Klein of Cascade; special family friends, Chad and Ryanne Hoerig of Batavia, nieces, nephews, other relatives, co-workers, friends and the family puppy, Cody.
Those who preceded Al in death were his daughter, Jennifer Lynn and his father, Mathias Schickert.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Al was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath and Fathr Mark Jones concelebrated and burial followed in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., where a prayer service was held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation continued on Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Al’s arrangements.
