Amelia "Amy" Leinen

Amy M. Leinen, nee Dunn, 40, of Jackson, found peace on Thursday, December 27, 2012 after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer.

She was born on May 9, 1972 in Milwaukee to Jack and Susan (nee Claggett) Dunn. She graduated from Hartford Union High School in 1990 and then attended UW-Parkside, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in geography.

She was employed as a Quality Assurance Software Engineer at Thomson Reuters in Brookfield.

Amy was united in marriage to Dan Leinen on November 17, 2001 at St. Jacobi Church in Richfield.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; a son, Seamus; her mother, Susan (Richard) Rogahn of Hubertus; her grandmother, Loretta Claggett of Waupun; four sisters, Jessy (Joe) Callahan of Slinger, Annie (Chad) Kernatis of Hubertus, Patty (Jason) Radliff of West Bend, and Peggy (Dane) Bingen of Lannon; a brother, Dave (Carrie Plato) Rogahn; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Dunn.

A funeral service in remembrance of Amy will be held on Wednesday, January 2 at 6:00 p.m. at the Myrhum - Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend, with Rev. Hillary Bowser of St. Jacobi Church, Richfield, officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the education fund for Amy's son, Seamus, are appreciated.

Amy's family would like to express their gratitude to all of the family, friends, doctors, nurses, and other caregivers who helped Amy during her long battle with cancer.
