Amy Marie Crumer

On Friday, May 3, 2024, Amy M. Crumer, 38, of Allenton, passed away peacefully at The Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

She was born on July 30, 1985 to Bruce Crumer in Menomonee Falls. In her school years at Slinger, Amy was all about sports; she was very athletic and was an All-Star Baseball player. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing with her dad, Bruce.

When Amy was 13 years old, she suffered traumatic injuries from an automobile accident. She lived in area group homes for most of her life. Her brave and fighting spirit was unrelenting during all her years of health problems. Most of her caretakers always commented on how much spunk she had in her personality, even in the midst of her disability. Amy enjoyed any chance she had to go therapeutic horseback riding, and it was always sure to make her day. She worked as a jewelry maker with The Threshold, Inc. in West Bend and loved being able to demonstrate her creativity, as well as meet new friends there.

She leaves behind her dad, Bruce; her sister, Sarah (Dave) Iverson; uncle, Craig Crumer; aunts, Kathy (Steve) Roberts, Debbie Dowodzenka, and Debbie Heebner; cousins, Stephanie Otto, Ryan Roberts, and Katina Dowodzenka; and nieces and nephews, Caiden, Pierce, Emerson, Reid, Croix, and Phoenix.

Amy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bruce and Kathy Crumer; maternal grandparents, Dennis Kappel and Sue (Robert) Burns; and uncles, Mark Richter, Christopher Crumer, Danny Kappel, and Donny Kappel.

Amy will be remembered for her strength against adversity in the memories of her loved ones, and no formal service will be held.

Her family would like to thank all of the caregivers in Amy’s life for taking care of her when she was no longer able to, as well as Attorney Linda Vanden Heuvel’s great help in facilitating the means for Amy’s care.
