Ann M. (Kingsbury) Kissinger

Ann M. Kissinger (nee Kingsbury), age 83 years, of West Bend passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Ivy Manor in West Bend.

Ann was born on August 4, 1941, in Milwaukee, daughter of the late James and Eva (Hansen) Kingsbury and Anita (nee Poenisch) Kingsbury.  She was united in marriage to Gene W. Kissinger on September 8, 1962, in Menomonee Falls.

Ann had many occupations during her lifetime.  She was a constant help on her and Gene’s dairy farm while raising five children. She also worked delivering newspapers.  She said it was mainly so she could see wildlife and birds. She and Gene did home sewing for Universal Strap for many years. She worked for many years at the deli for Piggly Wiggly in Jackson making lifelong friends.  Over the years, besides her own children, she was very involved in caring for neighbors’ children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides family, Ann’s passions were birdwatching and trees and outdoor views. She also enjoyed her and Gene’s road trips and bus trips in retirement.

Those Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory include her five children, Stephen (Linda) Kissinger, Sally (Clint) Washick, Sherry (Brian Westra) Kissinger, Scott (April) Kissinger, and Stuart (Lynda) Kissinger; 11 grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Jake, Tyler (Abigail), Brent, Aaron, Seth, Rachel, Savannah, Sabastian, and Shane; and four great-grandchildren, Laila, Eleanor, Claire, and Leah. She is further survived by three siblings, Jim Kingsbury, Alice (Marv) Weiss, and Bill (Judy) Kingsbury; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gene, her parents, Eva, James and Anita and a brother, Donald.

VISITATION:  The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI  53095)

SERVICE:  A Memorial Service in remembrance of Ann will be at the funeral home at 3:00 p.m.
