Anne Rita Wickland, nee Stoffel, 51, of West Bend, found peace on March 29, 2007 at Kathy Hospice, after a courageous eight year battle with cancer.
She was born on August 18, 1955 in West Bend to Teresa and Mathias Stoffel. Anne attended Holy Angels Grade School, where in 2nd grade she decided that she wanted to be a teacher. She later attended West Bend West High School, graduating in 1973. In 1977, she earned her teaching degree from UW Eau Claire, with a double major in Spanish and History. In 1998, Anne earned her Master's Degree in Education.
On June 25, 1977, Anne was united in marriage to Al Wickland at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Anne taught Spanish and History one year at Green Lake High School, and then spent the next seven years cheerfully raising her two children. In 1985, she was offered a position at West Bend West High School teaching Spanish. SeA
