Ardeen D. Krueger, nee Herman, 87 of Jackson, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at The Kathy Hospice.
She was born on May 2, 1928 at home on the family homestead farm in the town of Jackson to the late Raymond and Erma (nee Knop) Herman. She married Albert Krueger on September 13, 1947 at Christ Lutheran Church in Jackson. Albert passed away February 2, 1988.
Ardeen was employed at Universal Strap for 23 years, retiring in 2003. She was a life member of Christ Lutheran Church in Jackson and was very involved in the Jackson American Legion. She loved spending time with family and she enjoyed being at the Jackson Community Center playing Sheepshead and playing Sheepshead with church members. She also enjoyed traveling and watching the Milwaukee Brewers.
She is survived by three children, Peggy Sue Krueger of West Bend, Peter (Maria) Krueger of Iron Ridge, and David (Patti) Krueger of Richfield; a daughter-in-law, Sue Krueger of Jackson; seven grandchildren, Laura (special friend Joey) Unz, Russell (Sue) Krueger, Christopher (special friend Julie) Krueger, Scott (Terri) Krueger, Tammy (Tom) Haverkampf, Jennifer (John) Swanson, and Stephanie (Bradley) Schreiber; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grand son; a brother. Kenneth Herman of Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Joosten of Rudolph and Lorraine (Arlyn) Dorshorst of Rudolph; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; two sons, Keith Krueger and Lee Krueger; a sister, Audrey (Carl) Dunkel; a brother-in-law, Warren Joosten; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Herman.
A funeral service in remembrance of Ardeen will be held on Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, N168W20152 Main St., Jackson. Rev. Duane Swenson will officiate and burial will follow in Christ Church Cemetery, Jackson. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Christ Lutheran Church are appreciated.
