Arlene C. Schneider

Arlene C. Schneider, 87, of Kewaskum, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk, with her family by her side.

Arlene was born on September 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Albert and Christina (Schlosser) Uelmen, and on September 11, 1948 she was united in marriage to Edward Schneider at St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Edward preceded Arlene in death on April 16, 2007.

Arlene was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Arlene was an avid sheepshead player. She loved cooking, making homemade bread and canning. Arlene enjoyed gardening, dancing to her husband’s concertina music and spending time with her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Those Arlene leaves behind to cherish her memory include seven children, Roger (Anne) Schneider of Kewaskum, Sharon (Marvin) Ebert of Ocala, Florida, Sandi (Richard) Schultz, Janet (Martin) Fochs, Judy (Jeff) Faber, Daniel (Lisa) Schneider and Debbie (Bruce) Dreher all of Kewaskum; 22 grandchildren, Shawn (Megan) Schneider and Jamie (fiancé, Peter) Solberg, Tina (special friend, Eric) Ebert, Eric Ebert, Shane Ebert, Shannon Ebert, Nick Ebert and Brooke Ebert, Tim (special friend, Kim) Schultz, Tricia (Rob) Wilson, Robby (special friend, Bridgette) Schultz, Jeff (Dana) Fochs, Tyler (Melissa) Fochs, Jennifer (special friend, Joe) Fochs, Brandon (Christina) Faber, Ashley (special friend, John) Faber, Emily Faber, Melissa Schneider, McKenzie Schneider, Corey Burdick, Brooke Dreher and Adam Dreher; 11 great-grandchildren, Nora, Tanner and Colton Schneider, Emma Solberg, Matthew and Lucas Schultz, Jacob and Zachary Wilson, Kaleigh Fochs, Elly Fochs, Brynlee Fochs-Bialk; a sister, Audrey (Richard) Herriges of Kewaskum, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Arlene was preceded in death by a son Joseph Schneider; a brother, Harold (LaVerne) Uelmen and a grandson, Scotty Schneider.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Arlene will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Father Edwin Kornath will officiate and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday in the parish cemetery.

Arlene’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.

Arlene’s family extends their deepest appreciation to all the staff at Beechwood Rest Home, Dr. Saif Choudhury and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the care provided to Arlene.
