Arthur A. E. “Art” Buss, 85, of Kewaskum, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.

He was born on October 23, 1924, in Fond du Lac County, the son of the late Arthur W. and Elsie (Koch) Buss, and Art attended school in Kewaskum. They were true soul mates and he missed her greatly these past five years.

Art was a member of United Christian Church in Campbellsport. He was employed by American Motors in Milwaukee and then by Chrysler before retiring after 30 years of service. Art also farmed his whole life before turning the operation over to his sons. When he was physically not able to do the work any longer, he would be in his truck while listening to the polka station and checking on the farm. He will fondly be remembered for his memorable “Hey” to everyone.

Those Art leaves behind to cherish his memory include six children, Barbara (Francis “Butch”) Gengler of Kewaskum, James Buss (special friend, Vicki Semprevivo) of Campbellsport, Artie Buss of Kewaskum, Terry (Janine) Buss of Campbellsport, Douglas Buss of Kewaskum and Brian (Tami) Buss of Campbellsport; nine grandchildren, Jason, Jodi (Frank), Tim, Jennifer (special friend, Scott), Julie, Lisa, Laurie (David), David (Jenell) and Daniel; three step-granddaughters, Shirley, Victoria and Courtney; six great-grandchildren, Ava, Ian, Alexis, Benjamen, Spencer and Abigail and a step-great-granddaughter, Charlie; a sister, Eva (Dormund) Grams of Green Bay; two brothers-in-law, Glenway Backhaus of Kewaskum and Gustav (Delores) Werner of West Bend; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Buss of Markesan and Erna Werner of Tucson, Arizona, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Art was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Patrick; a brother, Ivan Buss; a sister, Marilyn Backhaus and two brothers-in-law, Carl and Walter Werner.

Funeral services for Art were held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Rev. Paula Anderson officiated and burial followed in Union Cemetery in Campbellsport.

Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
