Arthur Otto "Sandy" Minz, Jr., age 56, of Kiel, formerly of West Bend, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009.
He was born on January 7, 1953 to the late Arthur and Yvonne (nee Langlais) Minz, Sr.
Art graduated from West Bend West High School in the class of 1971. He was a well known plumber and worked for Roto-Rooter in Green Bay for many years. He was a huge animal lover, an avid Packer fan, was kind hearted, selfless, and had a giving personality. He enjoyed music, both playing and singing it in his father's band (Artie Minz and the Country Men), as well as scuba diving and traveling.
Art is survived by his four children, Joshua (Melissa), Jason (Dalyn), Melisha (James) and Shannon; eight, soon to be nine, grandchildren, Anastasia, Blade, Genevieve (still on the way); McKenna, Austin, Ashley, Crishan, Craig and Caden; his, brother Michael and sister, Shelly. He is further survived by his girlfriend, Marcella Gory; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service in honor of Art will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Myrhum~Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend. Dan Schroeder, Pastoral Assistant of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish will officiate and burial will follow in Newark Cemetery in the town of Barton. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
