Arthur P. Terlinden

Arthur P. Terlinden, 87, of the town of Wayne, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.

He was born April 30, 1923 on the Terlinden family farm in the town of Wayne to the late Benjamin and Hedwig (nee Pluedemann) Terlinden. He was united in marriage to Pearl Kibbel on May 28, 1949 at Salem Church in Wayne.

Arthur spent his entire life in farming. He served as Director of Farmers Inc. for more than 30 years. He also served on the Zion Ev. Lutheran Church Counsel and the Wayne School Board. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving his Gator around the farm.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pearl; two children, Dennis (Debby) Terlinden and Darlene Krebs, both of the town of Wayne; six grandchildren, Tim (Tracy) Herman, Keith (Bonnie) Herman, Kristin (Tony) Cappozzo, Ryan (Melisa) Herman, Tim Krebs, and Tricia (Jim) Wichtoski; ten great-grandchildren, Teagan Herman, Tierney Herman, Kyra Herman, Brady Herman, Alyce Herman, Brandon Susen, Kaeden Cappozzo, Alec Cappozzo, Maxwell Herman, and Jace Wichtoski; two sisters, Leona Westphal of West Bend, and Arlene Stark of Mesa, AZ; two brothers, Elmer Terlinden of Port Washington, and Harold Terlinden of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son-in-law, Edward Krebs; a brother, Alvin Terlinden; two sisters-in-law, Pat Terlinden and Evelyn Terlinden; and two brothers-in-law, Chuck Westphal and Roy Stark.

A funeral service in honor of Arthur will be held on Saturday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Wayne. Rev. Steven Bode will officiate and burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
