Austin A. Cochran

March 24, 1990 — June 23, 2024

Austin A. Cochran, 34, of Kewaskum, passed away on June 23, 2024.

Austin entered the world with a vibrant spirit on March 24, 1990, in West Bend, born to parents Andrew and Joan (née Beisbier) Cochran. His entire life was a canvas of creativity, brimming with a passion for art, an innate sense of humor, and a talent for comedy. He possessed a unique gift for bringing laughter to others, a way of mending spirits with his jovial nature. Art wasn’t just a hobby for Austin; it was his essence. He thrived on human connections, leaving a lasting impression and illuminating the lives of those he encountered. Known for his playful antics, Austin was the quintessential prankster, always concocting some humorous scheme. He harbored aspirations of channeling his creativity into writing and screenwriting, driven by a deep desire to make his father proud.

This paragraph here is a recently found letter, written by Austin to his father on June 17th, 2018 on Fathers Day, showing the depth of his love and bond for his dad, which we feel is a perfect representation of Austin:

“I know God put you on this earth for a purpose. I believe with all my being, that you have fulfilled your purpose and then some. All the lives you have impacted and all the hearts you have touched, simply cannot be measured. Our time on earth is so short, many people argue it is too short. But, our souls are where the real beauty lies. Imagine, eternity with all of our loved ones and our creator… Some day all of us will end up there. And when that day comes, we will laugh and hug each other and it will all make our time here on earth seem so small in comparison. The way I see it, it’s like the time you were without me before you brought us into this world. Before you met mom. Before you became a man. Time is nothing for the soul. And our souls… yours, Mom’s, Tim’s, Ashley’s, Mitchell’s, everybody’s were all destined to – not only cross paths – but to be together. I like to think we already were waiting for each other to be born and to meet and to love, just like the other end of life. I like to think we will each be waiting to be brought together again. To me, that is the gift God gives us. He gives us each other, he creates these perfect and beautiful souls to be together forever – for eternity, so that we’re never truly alone and that there are always family and friends to fill our hearts, to keep us strong, to make us laugh, to make us cry, but most importantly – to show us love.

And you own a piece of my heart, you always have and always will.

I love you, Dad.

Your son,

Austin.”
