Barbara G. Hill, nee Buell, age 88, of West Bend, WI, passed away and joined her husband in Heaven on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.
She was born on November 5, 1923 in Ann Arbor, MI to the late Bruce and Dorothea (nee Bristol) Buell. She was united in marriage to Charles L. Hill on March 16, 1946 in Milwaukee, WI. Charles passed away May 18, 1963.
Barbara worked as an occupational therapist at the Milwaukee County Medical Center for 25 years. She loved to travel and visited every continent at least twice. She also loved all animals and she especially loved penguins which she went to visit in Antarctica several times.
She is survived by three children, Donna (Carl "Jim") Hendrickson of Cedar Springs, MI, William (Terry) Hill of Waukesha, WI, and Arlene (Bill) Carter of Belle Plaine, KS; five grandchildren, Billy Hill, David Hendrickson, John Hendrickson, Daniel Hendrickson, and Kristina Stonebraker; five great-grandsons; a brother, Larry (Ruth) Buell of Florida; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, David Buell.
Funeral services in remembrance of Barbara will be held on Monday, January 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4860 Arthur Rd., Slinger. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. Cremation will follow the service and burial of Barbara's cremated remains will be in Valhalla Memorial Park, Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Washington County Humane Society would be appreciated.
