Barbara A. Kuckuk, 60, of West Bend, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.
She was born on January 5, 1952 in Milwaukee to the late Clarence and Marion (nee Schloemer) Schaefer. She graduated from West Bend High School in 1970. On May 9, 1981 she was united in marriage to Jerry Kuckuk at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend.
Barb loved arts and crafts, music, singing and dancing. She was a long time volunteer for the Special Olympics and was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ and the Women of the Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; three daughters, Jeanie (James) McGee, Brenda (Adrian) Miller, and Jacqueline (Eric) Prodoehl, all of West Bend; two grandchildren, Thomas and Miranda; two brothers, James (friend Joanne Scheer) Schaefer5 and Paul Schaefer, both of West Bend; a sister, Carolyn Mueller of Mayville; her mother-in-law, Vera Kuckuk of West Bend; a brother-in-law, Dave (Sue) Kuckuk of Plymouth; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Diane Schaefer.
A funeral service in remembrance of Barbara will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 501 Walnut St., West Bend. Rev. Rich Vincent will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
