Barbara "Barb" A. Ryan (nee Manus), 62, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Kathy Hospice, West Bend.
She was born on December 10, 1952 to the late Jesse and Jean (nee Mixen) Manus in Anna, Illinois. As a child she had a health issue and had a pioneer open heart surgery in 1959 at the age of 6 and wasn't expected to live through her teenage years. She graduated from Dixon High School. She went on to Madison Area Technical College receiving an Associate degree in Textiles. Barb worked at Shopko in Madison and later worked at Self-Help Industries in Sterling, Illinois. On July 1, 2006 she was united in marriage to Michael Ryan in Mundelein, Illinois. She enjoyed traveling, playing scrabble, and her and Mike enjoyed exploring through the city of West Bend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and was extremely proud of them. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike; son, David (Nicolle) Manus; two grandchildren, James Manus and Kiel Manus; sister, Debra (Dennis) Ryan; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Manus; mother, Jean Ferrell; nephew, Kevin Ryan;great-nephew, Mac Wagner.
A Private family service will be held on a later date.
