Barbara J. Traxel-Taylor, age 53, of Kewaskum, passed away Friday November 26, 2010 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.
She was born on December 21, 1956 in Torrence, CA to Fredrick and Janet (nee Schnitzka) Traxel. Barbara was raised in Milwaukee and graduated from Franklin High School in the class of 1975. In 1983, she moved to West Bend. On September 29, 1989 Barbara was united in marriage to Lee Taylor at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. Early on, she worked at Serigraph and most recently in the office at West Bend Vacuum Center.
She is survived by her husband, Lee of West Bend; her mother, Janet Williams of Greenfield; three brothers, William Traxel of Mequon, Thomas (Jan) Traxel of West Allis, and David Traxel of Greenfield; three sisters-in-law, Jan (Phil) Wagner of West Bend, Karen (Dave) Sparks of West Bend and Barbie (Dale) Fessenbecker of West Bend; one brother-in-law, James (Ann) Taylor of Kewaskum; parents-in-law, Wes and Ann Taylor of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Fredrick Traxel; brother, Donald Traxel and step-father, Irv Williams.
Funeral services in remembrance of Barbara will be held on Friday, December 3rd at 7:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 140 N. 7th Avenue, West Bend. Rev. David Schoob will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be Saturday, December 4th in Valhalla Memorial Park at 10:00 am.
