Barbara A. Ziegler, nee Bednarek, 63, of West Bend, died Friday, July 22, 2005 at her residence.
She was born January 29, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the late Barney and Josephine (nee Osolkowski) Bednarek. She married Kip Ziegler on February 24, 1964 at Mother of Good Council Church in Milwaukee. The couple lived in Milwaukee until moving to Germantown in 1982 and then to West Bend in 1991.
Barbara worked at various jobs in Milwaukee including being a checker at Sears, a medical assistant for several doctors, the bookkeeper at Sur T.V., and working in the school lunch program at Mother of Good Council School and other teaching centers. Her grandson was her pride and joy. She especially enjoyed watching him play soccer.
She is survived by her husband, Kip; a son, Bryan (Jennifer) Ziegler of West Bend; a grandson, Joseph Ziegler of West Bend; a sister, Romayne (James) Strassburg of Pewaukee; a brother, Michael (Judy) Bednarek of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 29 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Ave., West Bend. Rev. Gerald Brittain will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. The family will greet visitors at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service and there will also be a reception following the burial.
