Barbara S. Ebert, 64, of Kewaskum passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa.
She was born on November 16, 1949, in West Bend, the daughter of Melvin and Athleen (Schroeder) Butzke, and on May 3, 1969, she was united in marriage to Richard Ebert at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane.
Barbara worked for many years at Regal Ware in Kewaskum. She was a member of the XYZ Club in Kewaskum and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane where she served on the Altar Guild. Barbara enjoyed reading, cross stitching and playing cards. She will fondly be remembered as one who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Those Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 45 years, Richard; two children, Eric (Tina) Ebert of Campbellsport and Melissa (Chris) Kohnke of Eldorado; four grandchildren, Hailey and Kaitlyn Ebert and Jacob and Makenna Kohnke; her mother, Athleen Butzke of the town of Auburn; her father-in-law, Vilas Ebert of Campbellsport; two brothers, David (Cindy) Butzke and Daniel (Kay) Butzke both of Campbellsport; two brothers-in-law, Norman (Mary) Ebert and Russel Ebert, both of Campbellsport; a sister-in-law, Donna Schmidt of Campbellsport, other relatives and friends.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Butzke; her mother-in-law, Rosella Ebert and her nephew, Keith Schmidt.
Funeral services for Barbara were held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane. Rev. Mark Eckert officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Sunday from Noon until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Barbara's arrangements.
