Beatrice E. Luedtke

June 21, 1956 — April 8, 2010

Beatrice E. “Beady” Luedtke, 53, of the town of Scott, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born on June 21, 1956, in West Bend, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Kurtz) Janz, and on November 6, 1976, she was united in marriage to Glenn Luedtke at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend.


Beady was a graduate of Random Lake High School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Beady and Glenn dairy farmed with Glenn’s parents in the town of Scott for 13 years. Over the past 20 years, Beady and Glenn planted over a million trees in and around the Kettle Moraine Forest covering a four county area. Beady enjoyed the company of the family dog, Montana and their horse, Snicker. She will be deeply missed by her husband, her family and by all who knew her.


Those Beady leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Glenn; two children, Misty Luedtke and Travis (Laura) Luedtke both of the town of Scott; three grandsons, Oliver, Henry and Wyatt Luedtke; her parents, Clarence and Dorothy Janz of the town of Scott; her parents-in-law, Louis and Beverly Luedtke of the town of Scott; her brothers and sister, Patricia (Duane) Westphal of Neenah, Stew (Louise) Janz of Fruita, Colorado, Kieth (Margaret) Janz, Dennis (Margie) Janz and Vince (Betty) Janz all of the town of Scott, other relatives and many friends.


Funeral services for Beady were held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott. Rev. Kurt Ziemann and Rev. William "Bud" Palmer officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery.


Relatives and friends called at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
