Beatrice A. (Nee Diederich) Steffes

May 4, 1935 — December 14, 2024

Beatrice Ann Steffes (nee Diederich), 89, was born into eternal life with Jesus on Saturday, December 14, 2024, with her family by her side.

Beatrice “Bea” was born on May 4, 1935, to the late Raymond and Beata (nee Pinkert) Diederich. Bea was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Grafton and graduated from Lutheran High School Milwaukee. She worked as a customer service representative at the Wisconsin Gas Company for 24 years. She loved volunteering at venues around the city of Milwaukee including the Pabst Mansion, the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre. She also served the community as a poll worker. Bea was an active member of the Wisconsin Go Hiking Club and loved traveling around the country and internationally.

Those left to cherish Bea’s memory include her two daughters, Leslie (John) Davis of Grafton and Victoria (Mike) Stephan of Wind Lake; five grandchildren, Matthew (Abbie) Stephan of Waterford, Jeffrey (Abby) Stephan of East Troy, Michael (Rachel) Davis of Hartford, Courtney (Jon) Schulte of New Berlin, and Lauren (Austin) Young of Port Washington; eight great-grandchildren, Lucas, Emilia, Bennett, Penelope, Eleanor, Vivienne, Lenora, Aspen; and other relatives and friends.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents.

VISITATION: Beatrice’s family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 7821 W. Lincoln Avenue, West Allis.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A memorial service for Beatrice will follow visitation at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joshua Grotelueshen officiating the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Cottages at Cedar Community along with Commonheart Hospice for their compassion and care for Bea.
