Belinda H. (Backhaus) Reith

Belinda H. Reith (nee Backhaus), 94 of Kewaskum found peace on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Belinda was born on August 20, 1923 to the late Herbert and Selma (nee Miller) Backhaus in Kewaskum.  On June 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to John Reith.  Belinda worked as an administrative assistant for Wisconsin Gas for many years.  Belinda retired to Sayner WI with her husband where she became the town treasurer.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and her favorite passion was reading. She kept busy and loved to travel.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Belinda leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children, Mark Reith of Hubertus WI, Margaret Reith of Moretown VT, a brother, Richard Backhaus of West Bend, a sister-in-law Virginia Backhaus of Kewaskum, nieces, nephews.

Belinda is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Reith; two brothers, David Backhaus and Herbert (Sally) Backhaus; two sisters, Henrietta (William) Korchunoff and Elizabeth (nee Backhaus) Schnepp.

A private family service will be held.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at The Pavilion and Allay Hospice for all they did for her care.
