Ben H. Miller, Jr., 84, of West Bend, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.
He was born on February 1, 1928 in Milwaukee. At a young age, the family moved to Barton where Ben grew up and lived the rest of his life. Ben married Barbara Fuller on July 19, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend. Barbara passed away February 7, 1988.
Ben worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for more than 20 years and then worked at McGraw & Edison in Barton for 25 years. He loved to spend time at his cottage up north at Moose Lake. He enjoyed cutting firewood to heat his house and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Ben was a beloved husband and the greatest father and grandfather ever. He was very kind, gentle and caring. He would have given you the shirt off his back.
He his survived by his three children, Scott (Diana) Miller of Kewaskum, Debra Miller of West Bend, and Todd (Cheryl) Miller of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren, Chad Kreuser, Shane (Chasity) Kreuser, Travis (Gaby) Kreuser, Jake Glick, Bridget Miller and Krista Miller; six great-grandchildren, Stephanie Kreuser, Brooke Kreuser, Trisha Kreuser, A.J. Solis, Miguel Solis, and Karina Solis; other relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara, a sister, Margaret, and a brother, Henry.
Private family services will be held and entombment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend.
