Bernard "Bernie" Weyer

Bernard "Bernie" Weyer, 86, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Heritage Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Port Washington.

Bernie was born on November 27, 1920 in Germantown to the late Bernard and Rose (nee Werner) Weyer. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. On September 23, 1950 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Erdman at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Nenno. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; his daughter, Laura Weyer of Milwaukee; two sisters, Betty Rattenbach of Tomahwak, and Mary Wolf of West Bend; a brother, Rex (Ruby) Weyer of Allenton; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Weyer and Barbara Weyer, both of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Weyer, Ronald Weyer, David Weyer and Daniel Weyer; two sisters-in-law Ann Weyer and Delores Weyer; and a brother-in-law, Delmar Rattenbach..

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 6:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, Indiana Ave. & Decorah Road, West Bend, with Rev. John Paustian officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Following cremation inurnment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Cemetery in Union Grove.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Good Shepherd Church Little Lambs Day Care Center would be appreciated.
