Bernice C. Potter, nee Kocher, age 92, of West Bend, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Town of Polk.
She was born on October 28, 1920 in West Bend to the late Edward and Anna (nee Rosenthal) Kocher. Bernice graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1939. On April 11, 1942, she was united in marriage to Wilford Potter at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Bernice worked as a secretary for of 30 years at B. C. Ziegler Company, retiring in 1986. She was a life-time member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church
She is survived by her two children, Judy (Butch) Budenhagen of West Bend and Tom Potter of West Bend; three grandchildren, Tim (Shelly) Budenhagen of Huron, SD, Chris Budenhagen of West Bend, and Amy (Tim) Luft of West Bend; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Tyann, Tenley, Hope, Page, and Ella Budenhagen, three sisters-in-law, Gerry Kocher of Hideway, TX, Dorothy Jansen of West Bend, and Beverly (Ronald) Hartman of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilford; sister, Ruth Yoost, and brother, Karl Kocher.
Cremation took place at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service with a graveside service in remembrance of Bernice to be held on Friday, June 21st at 10:00 a.m. in Union Cemetery, West Bend.
