Betty Jane Eaton, formerly Goldamer, (nee McGoff) age 76, of West Bend, was called home on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Cedar Springs Health & Rehabilitation Center in Cedarburg.
She was born on May 10, 1932 to the late Thomas and Mae (nee Bovee) McGoff in Summit Lake, Wisconsin. Betty graduated from Steven's Point with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She taught many classes in the Elcho School District from elementary through High School. Her first husband, Carl Goldamer passed away in November of 1987. In November of 1991, Betty was united in marriage to Vernon "Fritz" Eaton. He preceded her in death in September of 2006. Shortly after, Betty moved to West Bend to be closer to her sons. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening and playing bingo. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, going out to lunch and spending time on her computer.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Tom (Trudy) Goldamer of Milwaukee and Carl (Cathy) Goldamer of West Bend; three grandchildren, James (Susan), Nicholas and Dylan Goldamer; and great-grandson, Kyler James Goldamer; a sister, Marjorie Wojtecki; her cousin, Donna Rice; her niece, Sandy Rindal; her close friend, Eleanor Davies; and many other dear relatives and good friends.
Her husbands, parents, and brother, Donald McGoff preceded her in death.
A Memorial Mass in remembrance of Betty will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 3:00 pm at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place in Pinelawn Cemetery.
