Betty Lou Fellner

June 10, 1942 — July 30, 2024

Betty L. Fellner, 82, of West Bend, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Betty was born on June 10, 1942, in Marietta, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Clarence and Leither (nee Ward) Nichols. On February 28, 1959, she was united in marriage to John “Tom” Fellner in Illinois. Tom preceded Betty in death on May 24, 2009.

Betty loved entertaining friends, family, and especially children. She always welcomed them into her home with open arms. Her baking skills were exceptional, particularly her anise cookies and sweet potato pies, which were a hit during Thanksgiving. In addition to baking, Betty enjoyed crocheting - especially hats, that made it all the way to Jamaica - and making flowers for weddings. She had a passion for collecting bells and took great pride in her beautiful Christmas village, which adorned her entire house.

After the passing of her husband, whom she deeply missed, Betty spent much of her time babysitting and working at the Unity Club in West Bend, where she was cherished by everyone. She retired from the West Bend Company after an impressive 37-year career. Betty also loved spending time at the cabin on Boulder Lake, Up North. However, her true passion was shopping, a love she passed on to her family.

Those Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory include five children, John R. Fellner, James C. Fellner, Mary A. (Cameron) Langhoff, Jane M. DuQuette (Patrick Cox), Denise S. (Art) Bosley; a son-in-law, Patrick Muckerheide; grandchildren, Christina (Kevin) Mejaki, Tara (Jordan) Lee, Mathew, Melissa, Anthony, Stephanie and Brooke Fellner, James and Angel Fellner, Alicia, Stephan, and Samantha Kattar, Amy (Shannon) Van Beek, Katy (Randy) Moon, Lynn (Brandon) Schroeder and Margaret Muckerheide, Jennifer (Brad) VandeBoom, Jason Langhoff, Amanda Fellner and Christopher Kelly. She was a great-grandmother to Blake, Austin and Alexis Mejaki, Jasmine and Faith Van Beek, Randy Moon, Jr., Nathan and Addison Moon, Rosalee and Levi Schroeder, Abbie and Alexza Bosley, Mason and Krystynn Semenske; great-great grandchildren; her brother and sisters, Gloris (Dwayne) Wickersheim, Evelyn (Karey) Trimble, Dan Nichols; her in-laws, Karen Fellner, Ronald (Elaine) Fischer, and Rosemary Handyside; other relatives and friends

In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Shari Muckerheide; two sons-in-law, Doug DuQuette and Brian Kelly; grandchildren, Devin Kelly; a sister, Ernestine (Alvern) Trimble; a brother, Percy Nichols; a sister-in-law, Obera Nichols; a brother-in-law, Theodore Fellner; close friend, Ray Brill; and her four legged friend, Louie.
