Betty Ann Giese, 78, of Kewaskum, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at Cedar Bay West in the town of West Bend.
She was born on July 29, 1928, in the town of Kewaskum, the daughter of the late Arnold and Margaret (Bloedorn) Prost, and on May 1, 1948, she was united in marriage to Walter “Wally” Giese at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Her husband preceded her in death on September 4, 1999.
Betty Ann was a member of St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kewaskum and enjoyed playing sheepshead. She will be deeply missed by her family and by all who knew her.
Survivors include two children, Jim (Mae) Giese of Anderson, South Carolina and Cheri (Tom) McElhatton of Kewaskum; six grandchildren, Amy (Tommy) Scully, Jaime Dorsey (fiancé, Steve Farkas), Eric McElhatton, Vicki (Ray) Kowalkowski, Brenda McElhatton (special friend, Craig Evans) and Cory McElhatton; three great-granddaughters, Oliva Rose McElhatton, Jadyn Rae Kowalkowski and Ambria Scully; a sister, Marcella Krueger of West Bend, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty Ann was preceded in death by a son, Randall Scott; a brother, Ellsworth Prost and a sister, Earla Maurer.
Funeral services for Betty Ann were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church,1417 Parkview Drive, Kewaskum. Rev. Timothy Henning officiated and burial followed in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Relatives and friends called on Friday at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
