Betty J. Eggert

Betty J. Eggert, 94, of West Bend, entered Eternal Life on January 20, 2021, at Cedar Community in West Bend.

Betty was born on August 6, 1926, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Edwin and Lizetta (nee Differt) Bernitt. On June 13, 1948, she was united in marriage to Elmer Eggert. Betty enjoyed spending time outdoors, caring for her home and gardens, and relaxing at the family summer home in northern Wisconsin.  She loved to sew, knit, quilt, and create many different crafts. Other things that brought her joy were playing cards, cooking, baking, and her butterfly decorations. The time Betty spent with her family and friends always brought her the greatest happiness.

Betty is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 72 years, Elmer Eggert of West Bend; two children, Sandra (Don) Earnest of Germantown and Keith (Mary) Eggert of Batavia, IL; four grandchildren, Mark (Beth) Earnest, Angie (Andy) Schatz, Andy (Briane) Eggert, and Katie Eggert; five great-grandchildren, Megan Schatz, Matt Schatz, Tyler Earnest, Benjamin Earnest, and Collin Eggert; her many other loving family members, nieces, nephews, and numerous treasured friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Lizetta Bernitt and a great-grandson, Zachary Earnest.

A private family graveside service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
