"One Last Ride Into the Sunset"
Our beloved Cowboy Bob (Robert “Bob” Antonio Fraiser) is now riding a bull in the big rodeo in the sky. He left this earth on August 10, 2022, after nearly 70 years of crazy and fun adventures. Bob will be sorely missed by his friends and family. He thrilled us with wild stories of his youth, entertained us with loud old country music and Okie Stomp dancing, and spoiled us with his extravagant generosity. Bob was an animal lover, he always said that the “animals know” when we need companionship or are struggling. He had many favorite pets over the years, and we hope he is now reunited with them, filling their bellies with treats and their hearts with love. In fact, it was just a couple months before he passed that he bought his daughter and family a new puppy.
Bob was passionate about driving, as he was a truck driver for many years; he knew the country’s highways in and out and very much related to the Hank Snow song “I’ve Been Everywhere”. Bob never missed a pro or college football game on TV; the San Francisco 49ers were his favorite team with the Packers coming in second. He was a card player and rarely stopped talking; he loved to fill any room with jokes and stories, often the center of attention at gatherings. He loved to tease his loved ones and make them smile. He often said that if he could make someone laugh that then he knew he was “doing things right”. One of his claims to fame was that he rode bulls with and spent time with country singer George Strait; he even once visited his home. Bob lived a fantastic life, spending about half of it in California where he was raised, then moving to Wisconsin in his 40s.
Bob was strong in character and will. He battled his stage 4 cancer for significantly more time than was predicted. He spent the last three years of his life living with his only daughter Jennifer (Jenna) Phillips and her family in West Bend, WI. He lovingly referred to Jenna’s wife Cate Phillips as another daughter. Their children Oscar, Luca, Brandon, Jojo, Xavier, and Brielyn miss their Papa very much. Bob and his wonderful siblings grew up in Foster Care, but were able to reunite for a Celebration of Life party earlier this summer. Bob wanted to attend his own farewell party and be able to dance and sing with his family and friends one more time while he could enjoy it and boy, did he ever! It was an excellent time.
Proceeding him in passing are his wife Alice Fraiser and parents Constance Navarro and James Fraiser. His younger brother Joseph Fraiser (Trudy) also passed away a couple of years prior and he lost his niece Cabrina and nephew Jason when they were both young adults, sadly. His living siblings include Cindy Phillips (Mike), Jim Fraiser (Sylvia), Ann Fraiser, Bill Fraiser (Dottie), Cynthia Sveom, and many foster siblings, the closest being April Jolimay. He adored his nieces and nephews, most of which are in California. He lived in Oklahoma for about ten years with a lovely companion named Laurie Watson. His closest friends before he passed were Scott and Torie Lindoerfer, Bryon Fraley, and Chuck Frank.
In lieu of flowers, please send any memorial contributions to Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County https://interfaithwashco.org to be used as part of the Judy Phillips Memorial Influencers in Aging fund as he enjoyed the inaugural event and had hoped to volunteer there after Covid but never got the chance.
Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with Bob’s arrangements. Additional information and online guest book can be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.
