Bonnie L. Paar, 70, of West Bend, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 23, 2017. She was born on March 19, 1947 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lois Backus. Bonnie studied Education at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater before meeting her future husband, William Paar. They were married on October 25, 1969 in Horicon and spent 48 years of marriage full of dedication, love and life travels including trips to their cabin in the woods. She worked at Kohl’s at the service desk and then worked many years at the county courthouse before retiring as a civil court assistant in 2014. Bonnie was a lifelong member of St Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was devoted in her faith and volunteered her time serving meals at The Harvest House. She liked to read, cook for her family, go shopping, and wear her green and gold on game day. She spent many thoughtful moments picking out the perfect greeting cards for her family and friends. Bonnie brought smiles to many faces and enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, making memories to cherish for a lifetime.
Those Bonnie leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 48 years; William; her two children, Justin and Bethany (Duffy) Teipel; five grandchildren, Tully, Tallulah, Arleta, Finola, and Renny. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1610 Monroe St. West Bend, WI. 53090. Bonnie’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
