Bradley C. Matthies, 28, of Beechwood, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at SynergyHealth St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
He was born on January 6, 1979, in West Bend, the son of Richard and Christine (Zwick) Matthies.
Bradley proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy for four years on the USS George Philip and attained the rank of HT2E5. He was a member of the Batavia Beechwood American Legion Post 193 and Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Christine of Beechwood; a brother, Andrew (Lisa) Matthies of Kohlsville; his nieces and nephew, Rebecca, Brice and Abby Matthies; his maternal grandfather, Ellis Krahn of Beechwood, his daughters, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Bradley was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Arlyle Matthies and his maternal grandmother, Monica Krahn.
Funeral services for Bradley were held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, W8497 Brazelton Drive, Random Lake (town of Scott). Rev. Kurt Ziemann officiated and burial, with military graveside rites, followed in the church cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services.
