Brandyn C. Brooks, age 20, found peace on Sunday August 17, 2014 at his home after struggling for many years with a mental illness.
Brandyn was born on July 30, 1994 to Frank and Laurie (nee Kiefert) Brooks in West Bend. He attended St. Mary's Spring High school in Fond du Lac and later attended West Bend East high school. He was technologically savvy and could fix anything. Brandyn liked music and enjoyed skate boarding and snowboarding. He had a love for animals and enjoyed watching the sunset while hiking. He liked to draw and was awarded the state art award for his self-portrait that was displayed at the state capital. Brandyn's best friends were his parents, Frank and Laurie, who loved him very dearly.
He is survived by his parents, Frank and Laurie Brooks; his Grandparents, Ruth and Fran Sepnieski and Pam Kiefert; his aunts and uncles, Bryan (Mary) Kiefert, Lisa (Mike) Huettel, Scott Kiefert, Chris Neuser, Kevin (Chris) Kiefert, Sherry (Tom) Lohse, Diane Brooks-Haase, Jackie (Chuck) Boehringer, Dan (Leta) Brooks, Mark (Judy) Brooks, and Annie Brooks; his cousins, Nicole and Megan Kiefert, Ryan and Stephanie Huettel, Sydney Neuser, Alex and Gabbi Kiefert, Glenn and Jamie Hasse, Amy Boehringer, Brittney, Brian, Bryce, and Brenna Brooks; his dogs and best buddies, Davey and Fuzzums; other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Larry Kiefert and Ervin and Alyce Brooks; and his uncles, Jim and Tom Brooks.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Brandyn will be held on Monday August 25, 2014 at 6:00 pm at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1610 Monroe St. West Bend, WI 53090). Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 2:30 pm until the time of Mass.
