Brenda Kay Bergman

April 14, 1968 — January 15, 2021

Brownsville- “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you whenever you go.” (Joshua 1:9) Brenda Kay Bergman was called to her eternal home on Friday, January 15, 2021 at her parent’s house in Brownsville.

Brenda was born April 14, 1968 in Waupun, WI to Harvey and Jane Bergman. Baptized at St. Luke’s Oakfield, WI. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Brownsville, WI for her grade school years. She was confirmed at St. Paul’s Brownsville by Pastor Allen Zenker. Brenda attended high school at Winnebago Lutheran Academy (WLA) in Fond Du Lac, WI. She also attended Wisconsin Lutheran College (Milwaukee) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in both History and Business.

Brenda is survived by her husband and best friend of 25 years, Todd Bergman; two sons, Joshua Bergman (age 24) and Jacob Bergman (age 17); her parents, Harvey and Jane (Pieper) Bergman of Brownsville; sister, Bonnie (John) Weiglein of Brownsville; brother, Brian (Cyndi) Bergman of Boyd, WI; sister-in-law, Karen (Scott) Schaar in Davenport, IA; four aunts, Marlyce Harvey of Indianapolis, IN, Charlotte Bergman of Cedar Falls, IA, Dorothy (Robert) Messner of Fond du Lac, and Linda (Jim) Sukowatey of Brownsville, and many close cousins, loving nieces, nephews, two-great nephews, A.J. and Owen, and great-niece, Raelynn, and many, many dear friends.

Preceding her in death are grandparents, Herman and Emma Bergman and Gilbert and Marion Pieper. Cousin, Angie (Messner) Behnke; niece, Becky Weiglein; uncles and aunts, Everett Bergman, Alice (Art) Bond, Mildred (Vincent) Huth, Bernice (Gus) Sibilsky, Don Bergman, John Harvey, Luetta (Ted) Olmstedt, and her best childhood friend, Laurie Wendorff.

Funeral service for Brenda will be held on Saturday January 23rd, 2021 at 2:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lomira. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Committal service will be held in April at St. Paul’s church cemetery in Brownsville. Memorials would be appreciated to Winnebago Lutheran Academy, St. Johns Lomira and St. Paul’s Brownsville. Brenda’s family is eternally grateful for the care and compassion provided by the nurses and the staff of Agnesian Hospice.
