Brian R. Berndt, age 58, of Slinger, joined his wife Pam on July 11, 2012 at Froedtert Health St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.
He was born on March 31, 1954 in Milwaukee to Donald and Ellen (nee Schwittau) Berndt, and graduated from Milwaukee Boys Tech in the class of `72.
On August 31, 1977 Brian was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Pamela Anderson at Bethany Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She preceded him in death on October 20, 1999.
Brian worked as an electrician for over thirty years and was a member of I.B.E.W. local 494. He was very proud of being a union man. Brian attended St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Slinger. He deeply loved his wife, children, and granddaughter.
Brian is survived by two children, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Berndt of West Bend, and Jessica Berndt of Germantown; a granddaughter, Marissa Berndt of West Bend; his mother Ellen Berndt of Germantown; four sisters, Donna (Phil) Lind of Poy Sippi, Bonnie (Rev. Dr. David) Stevens of Hibbing, MN, Chris (David) Cook of Roseville, MN, and Judy Berndt of Germantown; a brother, Bruce (Holly) Berndt Wauwatosa; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pam; and his father, Donald.
Funeral services in remembrance of Brian will be held on Sunday July 15th at 4:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. West Bend. Pastor David Hein will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in the Town of Amberg Cemetery, Amberg, Wisconsin on Monday at 2:30pm.
