Brunhilde J. “Bonnie” Harrison, 87, of West Bend, passed away at her home on April 4, 2025.
Bonnie entered this world on May 29, 1937, in Milwaukee, born to the late Carl and Louise (née Epple) Burst. She later married Joseph Harrison, beginning a lifelong partnership. A proud graduate of West Division High School in 1955, Bonnie balanced the demands of raising three children while pursuing a business degree at Cardinal Stritch University.
Her career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield spanned a lifetime, where she rose from the role of Data Processing Manager to becoming a Director. She also served as the president of the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA), showcasing her leadership and dedication to her field. At the age of 62, she stepped into retirement, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and achievement.
Bonnie’s heart was filled with love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Bunny." She was passionate about traveling, enjoying memorable trips to Germany to connect with her family roots. An avid golfer, she cherished time on the course with her loved ones and friends. Bonnie’s life was rich with love, adventure, and dedication.
Those Bonnie leaves behind to cherish her memory include three children, Michael (Mary) Dejno of Mayville, Nancy Jo (Steve) Klabunde of Menomonee Falls, and David (Marge) Dejno of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Rachel (Aaron), Nikki (Sam), Teddy (Erika), Alex (Sarah), Mallory (Matt); great-grandchildren, Lennon, Mila, Finley, and Jaxon; a sister, Siegrid “Helene” Gillan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Harrison and a brother-in-law, Ted Gillan.
VISITATION: Bonnie’s family will greet relatives and friends at Myrhum – Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m.
SERVICE: A service for Bonnie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to cancer research of your choice are appreciated.
