Burnette V. Klein, (nee Kirchner), age 86, of the Town of Wayne, passed away Tuesday July 28, 2009 at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.
She was born on March 25, 1923 on the family homestead farm in the Town of Wayne to the late Arthur and Anita (nee Klumb) Kirchner. Burnette graduated from West Bend High School in the class of 1939.
On November 2, 1940 she was united in marriage to Willard "Fuzzy" Klein in Dubuque, Iowa. Together they farmed in the Town of Wayne. Burnette also worked at L. Rosenheimers Dept. Store in Kewaskum, and part-time for Tennies Hardware in West Bend.
She was a member of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Addison, the St. Peter's Ladies Aid, and taught Sunday school. Burnette was also a former 4-H leader for the Kohlsville Pioneers 4-H Club. She enjoyed sewing and especially caring for her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Kenneth) Blank of Green Bay, and Diann Klein of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Steven Blank, Matthew (Cordell) Blank, Timothy Blank, Christine (Mark) Heuer, Nathan (Kristina) Blank, Jonathan (Sarah) Blank, Michael (Bridgett) Metz, Charles (Corina) Metz, and Richard Metz; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Maryalyce (Walter) Rathke of West Bend; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard in 2004; a daughter, Beverly Klein; a grandson, Douglas Blank, and a brother, Allen Kirchner.
Funeral services in remembrance of Burnette will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at 7:00 pm at St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Addison (4930 Beaver Dam Rd.). Rev. Paul Reede will officiate and burial will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery on Monday at 10:30 am. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 5:00 pm until the time of service.

As our Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, we have so many memories to thank you for. Memories filled with love and happiness. Your life was an example of, "Let us love one another - for love is from God." She loved our God, family, friends, and church. The fabric selections, and then your sewing. The finished product, a new outfit. Also, all the craft items you completed - for family and friends. Thank you so much, Mom. Our home - the care for all - inside and out and some how you were even able to get rid of Dad's junk. You loved your job at Tennies Hardware as a cashier. At Christmas, dinner, tortes, trees, trimmings, gifts, and all. And the Birthday parties enjoyed by all. Your love, joy, and work is still remembered and will always be. Loves in the smallest things, cannot be forgotten. Recently, two grandchildren were talking about the Fruit Loops and Corn Pops every time that they stay overnight. In our hearts, we wish we could just sit and talk to you, missed so much. But we know you are now enjoying talking to Dad and Bev. But thanks for showing us patience as you sat content in your wheelchair. The laughter and smiles shared with the 3rd floor staff and us at suppertime. We will always remember the ice cream treats every evening. To the 3rd floor staff at Samaritan, thanks for taking care of Mom every hour. You treated her so nicely.
