Caitlyn E. Ziegelbauer, 23, of Campbellsport, passed away after a brave battle with leukemia, on Friday, June 24, 2022, peacefully with her family at her side.
Caitlyn was born on June 17, 1999, in West Bend, the daughter of Cole Ziegelbauer and Valerie Verhagen. Caitlyn was engaged to Dylan Schlafer on June 23, 2022. Dancing was a huge activity in Caitlyn’s life – attending many parades and was a coach for Middle School, JV, and Varsity dance. She enjoyed spending time up north at her family’s cabin in Pickerel, fishing, ATVing, eating smores, and hanging out with her fiancé, Dylan.
Those Caitlyn leaves behind to cherish her memory include her father, Cole Ziegelbauer (Dawn); her mother, Valerie Ziegelbauer (Fiancé, Pat); her brother, David Ziegelbauer; her fiancé, Dylan Schlafer; her paternal grandparents, Kay and Red Schladweiler; her maternal grandparents, Keith and Lynn Verhagen; her aunts and uncle, Holly Walls (Joe), Amy Forstner (Lee), and Todd (Ashley) Verhagen; her godson, Tucker Verhagen; other relatives and friends.
Caitlyn was preceded in death by her grandfather, David “Zeke” Ziegelbauer.
