Carl Fromm

Carl P. Fromm, age 89, of the town of Barton, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at his residence.

He was born on August 21, 1920 in the town of Barton to the late Charles and Linda (nee Eichstaedt) Fromm. On November 25, 1939, Carl was united in marriage to Elizabeth Frank in West Allis. Carl served his country honorably during World War II in the Army Infantry as a German Interpreter. After his discharge from the Army, he worked in the foundry at Motor Castings in West Allis for 24.5 years. In 1965 when Carl and Elizabeth moved to West Bend, he worked for his cousin, Sylvester Hron at Swiss Bar for 10 years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; his daughter, Carol Fromm of Brookfield; two granddaughters, Dawn (Greg) Kaye of Port St. Lucie, FL and Debra (Scott) Spence of Kissimmee, FL; eight great-grandchildren, Rachel, Alexander, Austin, Gabrielle, and Greg Kaye, Jarrett, Cole and Merissa Spence; one brother-in-law, George (Lorraine) Frank of Milwaukee; and one niece, Janet (John) Hinkley of Lake Havasu, AZ; many relatives and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Ann; and his sister Dorothy Belsha.

Funeral services in remembrance of Carl will be held on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:30 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington Street) West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 pm (noon) until the time of the services. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park.
