Carol A. Herman, 59, of Glenbeulah, formerly of Adell, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2008, at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.
She was born on December 26, 1948, in West Bend, the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Lechner) Steinert, and on August 22, 1969, she was united in marriage to Thomas J. Herman, Jr. in Las Vegas. Her husband preceded her in death on June 16, 2006.
Carol was employed as a certified nursing assistant for 29 years. Sixteen of those years were at the Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility in Plymouth. She also worked five years at Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum.
Survivors include three children, Brad Herman (fiancée, Sheila Warriner) of Adell, Renee (Tony) Jones of Cascade and Regina (Jesse) Jones of the town of Wayne; six grandchildren, Ashley, Tori, Lexi, Jesse, Jr., Cheyanne and Dria Jones; her mother, Edna Steinert of Fillmore; three brothers, Carl (Nancy) Steinert of West Bend, Calvin (Judy) and Stanley (Tracey) Steinert both of Fillmore; three sisters, Connie (Wayne) Wetzel of Belgium, Susie (Craig) Mansmith of West Bend and Janet (Butch) Hafemann of Campbellsport, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Carol was preceded in death by her father, Clarence and her parents-in-law, Tom and Mildred Herman.
Funeral services for Carol were held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Rev. Tom Fleischmann officiated and cremation followed the service. Burial of the cremains was on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Kewaskum.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
