Carol J. Vos (nee Behrends) age 74, of West Bend, passed away on Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the Hartford Aurora Medical Center.
She was born on May 30, 1938 in West Bend to the late Richard and Esther (nee Roell) Behrends. On November 12, 1955 Carol was united in marriage to Gregor Vos at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Gregor preceded her in death on July 12, 2010.
She was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Carol enjoyed Nascar and the Brewers. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Carol is survived by her, three children, Sue (Peter) Logan of West Bend, Cathy (Gary) Fichtner of West Bend, and Mark Vos of West Bend; seven grandsons, Ben (Cari) Logan, Peter (Sarah) Logan, Mike Logan, Luke & Josh Fichtner, Trevor & Aaron Vos; four great-grandchildren, Kain Fichtner, Delaney Fichtner, Abby Logan, and Isaac Logan; two sisters, Pat (Dan) Harter of West Bend, and Ruth (Ed) Poehlman of Horicon; one brother, Doug (Sue) Behrends of West Bend; three sisters-in-law, Cecelia Vos of Mankato, MN, Adelia Braden of Brandon, and Mathilda (Lloyd) Ebert of Albany, MN; other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Carol will be held on Monday November 5th at 1:30 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Ave., West Bend. Rev. Nathan Reesman will officiate. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of mass.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hartford ICU staff, Dr. Mian, Dr. Zwicke and the staff at the Fields of Washington County for their kindness and care given to Carol.
