Carole M. Kemeny, nee Peterson, age 81, of Theresa, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at Hope Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.
She was born on May 17, 1930 in Milwaukee to the late George and Amelia (nee Rappette) Peterson. On November 28, 1953, Carole was united in marriage to James Kemeny at St. Francis Catholic Church in Milwaukee. James preceded her in death in 2003. She worked as a baker for Red Owl stores in Milwaukee where she lived until 2004 when she moved to West Bend. In 2006, Carole moved to Theresa.
She is survived by four children, James (Carol) Kemeny Jr. of Franklin, Dawn Kemeny of Theresa, Kim Kemeny of Cape Coral, FL, and Kota Kemeny of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Christy Justman, Jaimi Justman, Matthew Kemeny, Angela Kemeny and Brian Sween; five great-grandsons, Ethan Justman, Elijah Vielbaum, Riley Kemeny, Cristian and Matthew Kemeny; three sisters, Donna Peterson of Milwaukee, Gloria Gilbert of Lomira, and Fern Sowin of Plymouth; beloved best friend, Jeanette McCaigue of Theresa; other relatives and friends.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Kemeny; and four brothers, William, Donald, George, and Paul Peterson.
In honor of Carole's wishes, private family services will be held and inurnment will be in Washington County Memorial Park.
